As a government inspector, you will be employed in the personnel, procurement and finance departments of police authorities after completing your studies. Here you will ensure that the diverse and demanding administrative tasks run smoothly.

In human resources, for example, you will be entrusted with organizing and advising on new appointments. You will also work with the staff council. As a government inspector, you will also use your legal knowledge to ensure that personnel administration is implemented in a legally compliant manner. For example, as a government inspector you will deal with disciplinary law. This involves the legal classification and assessment of the facts, right through to the formal initiation and implementation of proceedings. Your future responsibilities will also include attending court proceedings and hearings.

In Procurement, you coordinate and manage purchases. So if a department wants to order something, they come to you. As a government inspector, you ensure that your colleagues receive the goods promptly, properly and on good terms. You will also be responsible for checking the return rights of confiscated items and handling rental contract matters.

In Finance, you will be responsible for the professional verification of incoming invoices, the initiation of procurement procedures and controlling. As a government inspector, you will also be responsible for monitoring the authority's budget.

Another area of responsibility is the administration of regulations and services. Here, for example, you will be responsible for issuing and withdrawing firearms licenses and participating in searches and court hearings. You will also deal with issues relating to civil and insurance law.
