Fighting Cybercrime next level
The North Rhine-Westphalia police force is fighting cybercrime professionally and at greatexpense. But the race always requires new concepts, the most advanced technology, and - most importantly - the best brains. The new Digital Crime Scene Intervention Teams will further professionalize crime scene work and investigate attacks against hospitals, government agencies, and commercial enterprises because the first hours and days are crucial!
Intervention teams Digital Crime Scenes
We are setting up the Digital Crime Scene Intervention Teams in Bielefeld, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Essen, Münster, Cologne, and the North Rhine-Westphalia State Criminal Police Office in Düsseldorf. The teams investigate severe attacks on IT systems and digital traces in all crime areas, including, for example, white-collar crime, threats against national security, and other crimes whenever the teams' special equipment and expertise are required.
Artificial Intelligence Development
With a new team of AI experts, we strengthen our competencies in analyzing mass data (Big Data) and using Artificial Intelligence. The team will be part of the Cybercrime Competence Center of the LKA NRW and will develop, implement and support innovative software solutions for the police. In doing so, we work with agile methods based on Scrum, for example. Our requirements for the AI team are correspondingly agile.

Here we have the chance to work with the latest technology and to develop innovative new solutions.
